These are two different psychological profiles.  One is a strict rule follower.  One is a self-absorbed aggressor.

Joe is not an aggressive or self-absorbed person.

Yes, we start out wanting to believe women, especially when we know they will be subject to scrutiny.  Who would bring that upon themselves willingly, if they weren't telling the truth?  But, we know from other past situations, there are some accusers who have lied  (Duke Lacrosse, Susan Smith, etc).  So we start with the assumption the woman is telling the truth and we weigh her statements against any other evidence we have.

More and more, there are fishy things about Tara Reade and her story.

LOL.  Thank you, resident DCUM psychologist. 
If he were such a "rule follower," he would recognize personal boundaries and not repeatedly invade them.  Also, rule breakers don't plagiarize.

The reason he "apologized" for going over the time limit in the debate is because he recognizes that his performance was less than stellar and wanted to "give up the mic."  He was uncomfortable and couldn't wait til his turn was over.  [/quote]
