Yes, my husband has expressed an interest in taking helicopter tours on vacation and I’ve told him he will not get me in one of those nor do I want him taking our kids. I agree it’s still unlikely to crash but it’s a risk I don’t need to take.[/quote]

How do you get to your vacation destination...  Do you drive?  Lotta folks die in automobile accidents every day.  Do you fly?  One could just as easily say getting on a Boeing 737 is a risk you don't need to take either.[/quote]

Depending on how you measure it, helicopters may be 27 times more dangerous than driving - or 85 times.  Comparing the rates is tricky.
