- Former Trump lawyer John Dowd is representing the two thugs and is claiming some kind of convoluted executive privilege protection.
- This is all part of the broader investigation of the Trump/Ukraine scandal re the whistleblower complaint.

This may have seemed like a huge scandal three years ago, but now it seems like just another day in Trump world. How does the thugs illegally channeling money to Trump differ from the NRA doing the same thing? And whatever happened to that case? Does any of this directly implicate Trump? I’d love for this to go somewhere, but I can’t help but be skeptical, especially as this has become so complex.
