You can petition for your child to attend a different high school based on a specific program. Kids who are scheduled to attend a high school that is AP focused can petition to attend an IB high school and vice versa. So there is still a base school for every child. Far fewer kids change schools for high school then for the AAP program in ES and MS but it does still happen.[/quote]
