The U17 Pipeline team that is going to USYS nationals is called the “Pipeline 02 Pre-Academy Spirit“ team. https://www.usyouthsoccer.org/tournaments/2019-national-championships/schedule/17u-girls/division-1/.  The other is the “Pipeline Spirit Pre-Academy 05 Girls” team.  https://www.usyouthsoccer.org/tournaments/2019-national-championships/schedule/14u-girls/division-1/ 
The names themselves seem to indicate that these are feeder teams to the MD Washington Spirit (now Baltimore Armour) Developmment ACADEMY team.

Last year, 2018 before they were DA, the Arlington 04 team also went to USYS nationals.  https://www.usyouthsoccer.org/tournaments/2018-national-championships/schedule/14u-girls/division-1/  
This is basically the same Arlington 04 team that played DA this year and is sitting towards the bottom of the DA bracket, along with WS VA.  Which may indicate that the Pipeline teams are comparable to the less successful DA teams.  [/quote]
