How is the PG part of NL doing?
A friend's kid is on one of the teams. They are dissatisfied overall, but that may be more about being on a B team. Still, the perception is the partnership is just to get a handful of raw athletes from PG County onto NL teams.
Wow, that is not a very accurate statement and could be misinterpreted. Maryland is a lax hotbed and maybe PG is under represented but the PG Pride teams from last season were well coached and played a smart level of lacrosse. They had some big and small kids and were just like any other team. NL is adding more resources. Describing that team as a bunch or raw athletes is insulting at best and maybe worse. The team had the most knowledgeable coaches in the area last season so they should not be RAW unskilled players.
You clearly don't know how to read nor did you watch PGLC last year. The coaches are great guys, but the product was pretty bad because those kids clearly didn't have much experience or coaching coming in. It doesn't mean they won't get eventually. Second, you missed the point that was made by the PP. He was saying that NL basically took some of the promising PGLC players (read: athletic and mostly raw and inexperienced) and that the kids at the NL B team aren't very good - made up for the PGLC kids who weren't picked plus some NL B kids. He didn't stereotype that all the PGLC kids were projects. As far the PGLC coaches being the "most knowledgeable coaches in the area" not sure how you can say that since they are recent college grads.
