JWMS is projected to be overcapacity in a few years. They only just had an extension done a few years ago.

RMHS is already over capacity and will be more so in 2024.  Crown HS won't be built in 5 years. So, all the new builds will be adding to the already over capacity schools. I don't care if it's 5 or 10 or 20 new students.  They are already over capacity.  They shouldn't be building to add more. There is nothing to be done about people selling existing homes, but the city can certainly put a moratorium on new builds that will to an already over taxed school cluster.[/quote]

City Council decides within city limit about any new constructions. MCPS hs nothing to do with it. City council wants to put additional kids in RM cluster when it;s already overcrowded to the point that it's reaching 120% capacity.
