They had a hard time finding a fully-Asian leading man. They approached drama schools all over the West and were told such a guy wasn't in their radars. Chu learned of Golding through their accountant in KL. I think he suits the role because he does look manly, handsome and charismatic. If I had to pick another good-looking Asian male lead, I'd go with Daniel Henney but maybe he's too old for the part?[/quote]
