BPD is a complicated disorder that could never be diagnosed through a blog or an instagram page. Maybe she does, but you can not tell through self-selected anecdotes about her life.
+1 All these self-proclaimed experts on this listserv should let the poor woman tell her story without armchair diagnosing her.
Obviously no one can give an official diagnosis except her doctor following an examination. What people can do, however, is think critically about signs that she is displaying and say what they think is going on. If even her own telling of events shows strong signs of BPD then that's pretty indicative of what's going on. I can't imagine a person without BPD telling their own story and painting themselves as being wildly borderline unless they actually are. No one wants to tell a story where they appear impulsive, self destructive, attention seeking etc etc etc. However, these traits are coming through loud and ridiculously clear. Also, bonus, a lot of borderlines don't even know they're borderline because it's often counter productive to tell the patient the diagnosis so doctors keep it from them. Instead they are told that they're depressed or that they have anxiety or whatever else. So they get admitted because they're "oh so super unwell and need help desperately" when in reality the docs just don't want to send them home, cause them to feel rejected, and then spark a more serious suicide attempt. I've seen borderlines admitted for months and months just because they've got the doctors by the balls with their threats of suicide. It's incredibly frustrating.
Oh please. You don't even know her. Neither do I, but I don't get off on trying to diagnose her. Get a life.
