It's easy in big Catholic families to find a name that you like... Favorite great-aunt Nora/Anne/Sadie/Genevieve/etc makes the perfectly trendy family name to continue on.

I gave my DS a family name, I always wanted to do the family name thing, though. My DS's name is classic but not even remotely popular. I sometimes feel a little snooty when I say "It was my grandfather's name," because it is distinguished and uncommon at the same time, like I purposely sought out the perfect name. I just wanted to name DS after my grandfather.[/quote]
