I am not a trump fan.. but I am a Veteran. I do understand what he is trying to say.

You forgot the part about knowing the cost of his decisions. Phone calls to widows of soldiers are meant to covey that.

The message he’s sent to the troops and their families: I guess you know what you signed up for.

More death is coming. He just figured out a way to avoid making those calls.
