What elite defenses has Madison played other than Robinson and Stab?
How many are there?
Same data - Opponent-adjusted defensive rating Robinson — 75.79 Madison — 75.72 Independence — 74.61 Oakton — 72.13 Yorktown — 71.42 Battlefield — 69.18 Chantilly — 66.36 Raw goals allowed per game in the same sample Madison: 3.63 Robinson: 3.80 Independence: 3.80 Battlefield: 4.88 Oakton: 6.70 Yorktown: 7.60 Chantilly: 11.09
I dont want to sound like a jerk here , but cool numbers and all but not usre how much they mean. Some of these teams have been in blow outs where the 2nd string goalie and D is in, they let in a goal or two and it fudges the numbers. Accounting for a running clock? All the advanced analytics here are for not and may work in pro or high level college games, but not in HS. There are very few numbers that matter, one is the number in the W column and the other is the number of L's in the playoffs. You have an 1 in the L column for the playoffs and your most likely not the best team. Thst it.
So if you don’t want to bother yourself with analysis (numbers are for nerds!!!), why are you here at all instead of just waiting to see who with the state championship, if that’s all that matters to you?
