Unfortunately, withholding the name is possibly making things worse by fueling conspiracy theories. But I understand the family's reaction of wanting to keep the name out of the public eye, especially right now, when disciples of this administration will feel very empowered to do whatever they want to anyone they choose, including the innocent family of a dead soldier.
