My apologies to Moses and David and Daniel and all the rest of the OT but the fundamentalist uber religious Smotrich, Ben gvir types - jewish  ayatollahs- like all crazy religious nut jobs only choose to focus on the parts of their text that caters to their own desires so they aren't focusing on repairing the world or doing mitzvahs or anything that we recognize as Judaism, they basically reject Judaism for their own crazy version of it that is supposed to be a throwback to pre Talmudic "ancient" judaism- you know when people want to do that they are just making stuff up to suit their own agenda. The idea of a sort of expansion of Israel into a "Greater Israel" that steals land from the Nile to the Euphrates is not as far-fetched as it sounds. The idea is actually quite popular amongst the kooks and right wing in Israel. I do wonder how popular this idea is amongst Jewish folks outside of Israel.[/quote]

The likud party believes in greater Israel since the founding/1940s. “First it’s Palestine , next it’s the whole Levant” was always the plan. They also want anti Semitism to rise in the west so more Jews will move to “greater israel”. It’s like manifest destiny with the  United States. The plan is more and more Jewish immigration [/quote]
