You know, you're so right. It's rare to be as old as he was and still living like that. Maybe 10 years earlier, 7 if we're being very generous, but at some point, things get a little better. You go ahead and pick up those extra catering shifts. You increase your standard of living.[/quote]

NP- When I finished the movie I actually thought to myself it actually maybe was supposed to be seen by the audience as a terrifying, horrible ending, like a cautionary tale for women: you will meet a great tall loser in your 20s, fall for him, leave him and date better men, and still go back to the tall loser who did not improve his life because you are a shallow, idiotic sucker for crap men who can't spot a good one even when he stares you in the face. Not pictured of course is what happens post movie: her stressed out and sad with 3 kids in a squalid shitty place as he turns into a bitter, beer bellied alcoholic greater loser.[/quote]
