As someone with severe ADHD I disagree. Lying is well know coping mechanism for those with ADHD.  He needs CBT more than the meds. Life changing.

For what it is worth; he isn't lying to "you", he is making room or note in his brain, what I call "rescheduling". I have told her that I have done it, so now I need to do it or I will be lying.

His brain clock works nothing like yours. Where you remember long stretches of time and memories, events of the last 15 years, he remembers 15 years and one day ago and now with a few big moments in the middle. He hasn't forgotten everything else, it will just take some prompting or a deep reason for him to recall the other meemories. When he does he will remember them in infinite more detail than you could ever imagine.

Please remember, there isn't anything wrong with his brain, it just functions differently than yours. How you view his brain as off or odd is how he views brain. He is not an oddity.[/quote]
