To answer your question UChicago is DD’s dream school and we told her from the get go that it’s not in the budget. She wanted to apply anyway. As I said before, all the other schools she applied to are outside of the top 50 and we selected them based on the amount of merit aid they seem to give. [/quote] Did you consider a top 50 school that gives tons of tuition assistance? Like Princeton or JHU or even Emory? Lots of the best schools give many many kids lots of money or even free tuition so long as they have the ability to get in.[/quote]
