My mom dragged us to mass every Sunday and we attended Catholic school K-12. I never related to any priest or their messages. Frankly, a middle aged unmarried man talking about stories that occurred 2000 years ago just didn’t resonate with me. My mom forced me and my sister to get confirmed, even though confirmation is supposed to be about you choosing the church. Once I got to college, I never went to church again.
