We just replaced a tub 20 years ago and I think it was about $2k, including materials. The big question is whether the shower is big enough to fit a tub. If not, you're going to be moving walls and that will be a lot more. Take 4-5 photos and email them to 3-4 contractors or plumbers and ask for a rough estimate.
