Haha, I’m very tech savvy. I have it backed up to hard drives (platter not SSD to avoid bit rot), but i recognize that it’s become a maintenance problem. Every 5 years I buy a new hard drives, I keep paying iCloud storage and OneDrive storage (I duplicate the iCloud folder into OneDrive as an online backup).

Curation would be great, but that will need to wait to retirement.  I assume AI will help me cull the photos on a few years too. But I just have two decades of photos with zero prints, and for something so precious to my family that is precarious. One good hack and it could be done forever. Or losing my job and paying cloud storage becomes onerous — your backups are only as good as your paycheck. [/quote]

That’s not true. Why can’t you just speak for yourself instead of trying so hard to get strangers to dump their family photos that may be treasured by future generations? I am so happy that I have my old family photo albums. Even the ones that seem “useless” are valuable to me in different ways. [/quote]
