Our team doesn’t do make up time trials,  it seems that some do, most don’t.

Our team also will not let you use last year’s time.  So, no time trials or B meet 2 days later, no first A meet.  [/quote]

Ours doesn’t allow make ups either and DC doesn’t want to miss a meet as it counts against you for high point, relay spots (and they go to all stars every year).  Say what you will but DC make All Stars every year and loves summer swim despite being a high performing club swimmer (they aren’t mutually exclusive).[/quote]

I think this I true.  Seniors will be gone for a week with friends and not care.  If they are serious swimmers they will often skip divisionals or all stars for the important meets.

Last year we had HS swimmers skip divisionals because they had another meet during all stars and they wanted teammates to have a chance. [/quote]
This has been my experience both as an observer and as the parent of a now older swimmer. My kid loves summer swim, don’t get me wrong, but the meets themselves, high point awards, etc. are not really important to them and their summer certainly doesn’t revolve around it. They prioritize their club schedule over their summer swim meets. [/quote]
