IT IS THE QUIET CAR. If you want to talk, book a different car! If you ended up in the quiet car "by accident," then you deal and shut your mouth for a few hours. Good god, the level of entitlement and excuses some of you brats make. I guarantee you're the same aholes that have cellphone conversations at the gym.

No, I not the person who talks on my cell phone in the gym!  When I have been on the quiet car there was plenty of quiet chat!  So according to you we are all entitled.

I took the quiet car twice a week for 6 years. There was not "plenty of quiet chat" and if there was [u]any[/u] chat beyond what PP describes as a library like atmosphere it would either be called out by a passenger or a passenger would tell the conductor and the conductor would come by to tell you, "no talking in the quiet car."
