National menopause society has a list of obgyns
I’ve had hit or miss luck with that list. NAMS still likes to say it’s all in your head and you just need therapy bc midlife is stressful and no mental symptoms are related. There are docs in that list that think it’s only hot flashes and women with no periods at all that need treatment. Mainly due to schedules, I just saw a younger doctor at the OB/GYN practice I've been going to for awhile (Amanda Paternostro at Physicians and Midwives), and she actually took my symptoms seriously and recommended HRT before I could bring it up. I saw Sarah Gray at P&M about a year ago and she basically shut me down (I'm mid 50s and haven't had a period in 4 years). It was SO discouraging, especially since P&M delivered all my kids. I then went to https://menopause.org/ (thank you DCUM) and found a different provider. The experience couldn't have been more different. I've been on HRT for about 10 months and it's been life changing - and insurance covers it!
