The backups are especially good for making sure that all M$ Office files are backed up.

The laptop is easy to hook up to an external monitor.  I have a monitor with a cable that has an HDMI end and I can connect the monitor at home to my work computer (Dell Precision) or my home computer (Dell Latitude) without any problem and use both with the monitor.
