Agree with the other posters who said you will need to work with them at first to make sure they know how to clean, weed, and prune properly - the first year they cut back my hydrangeas and weigelas and those plants bloom on old wood so that was a teachable moment for me and for them.  Now when they do spring cleaning, I am out there with them watching and I also tag plants and shrubs that should not be cut back with red ribbons so they know to stay away from them.  I also meet with the foreman every visit to show him things I want done and that has helped a lot. [/quote]
