So I switched to Threads - and it’s not bad. It Twitter about to become a larger Truth Social?
Shite like this is unsustainable [twitter]https://twitter.com/jsrailton/status/1658180433828274196?s=46&t=kf1qYlCXQnKgUhJWEIu2vg[/twitter]
Twitter is about followers. The posters provided the content but are afraid to leave because they will lose their followers. Twitter will continue on as a propaganda tool of the right supported and given cover to by all the other posters. It has lost a lot of credibility but that is unimportant now days.
Yes but content creators and influencers can serve up their content on both platforms until the Threads user base grows big enough. It's not like they have to cut the cord with Twitter all at once. However Twitter's revenue is entirely dependent on user views. So every percentage of user views that go to threads cuts directly into their revenue. So for example I follow a few interest areas via twitter. This week I signed up for threads, and so many content creators in these areas migrated over that I have spent most of the week on threads. Twitter loses the ad money it would have made on those views.
