This is a good point. People expect Presidents to know this sh!t. [twitter]https://x.com/dcpoll/status/2038761903426511343?s=46&t=kf1qYlCXQnKgUhJWEIu2vg[/twitter]
The expectation is for the POTUS to be able to process a great deal of information from daily briefings, prioritize initiatives and then to delegate responsibility of handling initiatives to their staff. Doing this at the expected level of expertise is something the best and brightest 50 to 60 years old have struggled with but they've been able to get the job done most of the time 24/7/365. Expecting elderly people to handle this daily intense responsibility is asinine and this is why we never elected elderly presidents until our electorate recently lost it's GD mind.
Being elderly is the least of his problems. His severe personality disorder, probable ADHD and learning disability, the fact that he doesn’t read or listen to a range of opinions/advice, and the fact that he is not very smart, are bigger problems.
I wouldn’t put a learning disability in that list. I know several people with severe dyslexia who are among the smartest people in the planet.
I was just about to say that ADHD and dyslexia, both of which he very obviously has, are not disqualifying, if the person also has a high IQ, a solid background of relevant information and above all, morals and ethics. This man has glaring weaknesses of hubris and narcissism combined with a lack of moral code and any understanding of economics and politics. All leaders, to a certain extent, suffer from hubris, but they are usually very well-versed in diplomacy and strategic thinking, and they mostly listen to their economic advisers. Add in the cognitive decline and we have an absolute DEFCON 1 disaster.
