Rename this thread: "The ravings of a madman."
Should be renamed WHY DC UNITED IS ONE OF THE WORST MLS ACADEMIES IN THE COUNTRY The thread supports that conclusion.
They say to bring your kid in for a fifth look lol
DCU couldn't pay me to put my kid in their program. There is more than soccer being taught in these years. DCU isnt even teaching soccer. Imagine what they are teaching the kids about how to be solid young men. Absolutely NOTHING
This is the musings of one person at this point. I would not call these the musings of a solid young man or solid old man so we cannot really blame DCU unless you are a DCU product yourself. DCU does not care about your kid. I get it. Your kid did not make it but they are living in your head rent-free. It is their business how they run their academy. I don’t have a constitutional right to a free academy. If they have cracked the code on how to develop a first time roster with no academy’s, God Bless Them!
And I give no sh#ts whether DCU cares or not. Because the reality is, they don't care about you or your son and you can't change that. What is important is that parents (the focus of this forum) have the right information to make good decisions about their son's future in football and can make educated decisions about DCU (not blindly following the crowd not understanding the realities of the situation like you did). Only someone who has no focus and isn't actually paying attention would think that someone would write here with DCU as the target audience. DCU is in fact irrelevant in the youth soccer system and They aren't changing. But what can change is how people on this forum and online perceive the club. Because as has been proven over and over again, DCU is not what people think it is and it isn't going to get any better. Only worse.
