You are completely wrong.  If a team's attack is stalling out in the opponents midfield playing a long ball over the midfield can be an extremely effective tactic.

Also, on the counter attack a team will be moving fast, and passing the ball quickly into space for a teammate to run onto the pass.

All football isn't tika taka with 25 sideways and backward passes. Playing fast and direct can be quite useful at times. Ask the USWNT. The Japanese team won the She Believes Tournament by playing fast and direct attacking football.

Its ok to be wrong.  It's how you learn. You were wrong. Like 95% of the people here, you can't accept it. When shown to be wrong you just make an attempt at mocking instead of accepting it or maybe explaining why you think what you do. [/quote]
