Ah, just googled Hasan Minhaj and he settled a sexual harassment complaint regarding his special "Patriot Act." That explains why he is chummy with Heath and Baldoni, rather than Lively.
Joi Harris, a stunt woman, literally died on a Ryan Reynolds set. That explains why everything he touches ends up in chaos.
If Reynolds was negligent in any way, he should pay for that fully, but it has nothing to do with this case.
He wasn't even in charge of the set or there when it happened. This is such a weird thing people keep bringing up. It's horrible, but not only has nothing to do with this case, it doesn't even reflect on him personally.
I don’t think any anyone is saying it was Ryan’s fault. It was a horrible accident. But it came to light after that the family had to go to great lengths to get any kind of settlement. The Deadpool leadership team, which is including Ryan so he has to take some responsibility for this, did not treat them well. of course they didn’t want their family member to die but it was a big debacle with the settlement and them not admitting any wrongdoing even though it was clear there were lapses onset that caused the accidents, and this stunt woman should never have been put in that position. It was found there were protocols that were not followed. Was Ryan responsible? No but the buck stops with leadership and he was part of that productions leadership. It’s a huge budget film and I’m sure they were rushing to get something done and they didn’t take the proper precautions and then they tried to bury it. Leadership should’ve led with a safety first at all cost mantra so protocols would not have been skipped and the woman would be alive today.
