https://pagesix.com/2023/02/06/fans-roast-ben-afflecks-miserable-energy-at-grammys-2023/amp/ They looked pretty miserable at the Grammys last night. This whole time I’ve thought Jen was pretty smug about being the answer to Bens lifelong issues with alcoholism, addiction, compulsive gambling, and general misery. As if maybe he just wasn’t with the the right person, and she came along (again) and could change all of that. As if his ex wife (with whom he shares three kids) didn’t try just “being supportive” and “being a good influence.” Clearly his issues manifest themselves eventually in every relationship he’s in. maybe they were just have a bad night, but I do not buy that any woman can change ben affleck and his deeply rooted issues.
I think what people don't understand is that the Grammy's aren't fun. Its basically a business dinner where you have to get dressed up and make small talk. Everyone at home thinks its so glamorous but I'm fairly certain that once you've been a time or two, it loses its magic. He's had his picture taken enough in his life, the food probably sucks. He's a 50 year old guy who'd probably be happier at home watching sports on his sofa. I totally get it.
This. Ben Affleck isn't the first person to look miserable at an award show. He just has an incredibly meme-able face.
