Your world sounds quite small and VA-centric.  Not everyone is interested in the TJ to UVA pipeline.  It appears that you'll find all the Nigerians you'll ever need at Ivy League universities.  According to this NY Times article, many Nigerians appear a lot more interested in business and finance and, specifically, Harvard Business School. Unlike GWB, NONE of them have fathers who were president of the United States, or grandfathers who were U.S. senators.  But somehow, they ended up at, inarguably, the best business school on the planet.  [b]They're 1 percent of the black population in the U.S., but they make up nearly 25% of black HBS students.[/b]  That's nothing short of amazing!

You sound confused, dears.  I don't have any "fascination" with Wall Street.  And this was never a conversation about who contributes more to society.  The U.S. is a capitalist society, and Wall Street is the embodiment of capitalism. In this country, money serves as a proxy for respect; and even presidents have to kiss Godfather Wall Street's ring (whether they like it or not).  If you take issue with this fact, perhaps you should consider moving to a country whose values are more aligned with yours (and where rank and file engineers and scientists are at the top of the socioeconomic hierarchy).[/quote]
