I think SOME AAs have been a part of the problem for biracial children in perpertuating the one drop rule. I think MANY AAs become extremely upset when this unoften discussed matter is brought out in the open. I think MANY AAs feel slighted by biracials who identify as biracial as opposed to solely AA. I think the solution is for biracial to choose their own race as opposed to anyone (black or white) making that choice for them. I think some AAs will be upset by this and make that difficult. I believe this also happens in white communities, which is why I believe biracial children should not live in communities that made my life difficult, which was majority AA communities. You hear all of the time about biracial kids not being accepted in white communities. But, the truth is that is also a problem in black communities.
The only issue is, if someone like Obama, or Halle robs a liquor store...there not gonna say this biracial person committed a crime...they will identify them as BLACK, and they will be seem as a black committing a crime...thats the problem AA have.....there always identified as biracial when its something positive...but boy when its negative they are BLACK all day long. Either you take the good and the bad or dont take it at all.
That sounds like a (predominantly white) media problem so take it up with them not with biracial ppl who identify as such.
