A lot of bright kids in Annandale area (many of them middle class Asian) got rejected. They live in the wrong zip code. Anyone has the TJ stats per zip code?
Maybe school quality not zip code?
Trying to take race out of the equation here. There are more Korean in Annandale than in McLean but it seems like the acceptance rate of those who live in Annandale is as low as the AAs and Hispanics. Have we been looking at the wrong stats?
Are you assuming that TJ accepts from certain schools over others? I thought it was purely test based.
It is definitely not purely based on the test. The admission process is a "holistic" evaluation of essay, SIS, teacher recommendations, GPA and test scores in a subjective manner. In other words, they will admit whoever they want to admit.
BS
BS or not, that is the admissions process. Totally subjective.
