General observation: I've seen many lacrosse HCs skewered on this site for any number of things. However, in those instances, you can find parents who both agree and disagree with the claims. It has been complete crickets when it comes to any parents supporting King though. Makes me think that comments about other coaches may be more hyperbolic from parents with axes to grind, but the grievances about King may be more universally agreed upon by those GZ parents.
Or the alternative is that GZ parents don't care what SJC or GP parents (or their kids) post on an anoymous chat board to bother with responding because it is likely people with axes to grind. But, I'll play along... As for the team, it was relatively very young last year. Most of the offense returns, whether that is a good thing is certainly up for debate. One of their biggest issues was it had a bunch of the same type of kid i.e., hard driving/dodging players that ML likes (GZ has a ton of ML kids on the team) that generally have never seen a bad shot (and ML kids take lots of bad shots). They didn't have any kid with great vision to make great passes and didn't really have any type of interior threat that could finish in close off the pass, even if they did make that pass. I'd wager most of their goals were unassisted. There wasn't that much of a threat out of X so most of the offense consisted of sweeps from the left or right. The 2 dpole kids that are leaving had generally been passed off by younger players. As for King, every team/program has issues. The fact King isn't on campus is certainly one of theirs.
