FCPS could do a better job planning for winter by holding school on President's Day and MLK day knowing that there are likely to be disruptions due to weather. Both are close to Winter Break and neither are holidays that are universally given off across the country. FCPS knows that there will be two off days for the end of second quarter, so have school on those Federal Holidays for continuity purposes.

September we were off because it was "Election Day"..    Then we were out from January 26th and came back February 3rd. Off again today, and  most likely April 21st.  [/quote]
