From what I understand VDA is holding hard and fast to Aug 1 which is why there are so many kids impacted. I do not disagree with current 6th graders being moved down to 2014s, etc etc. Parents of self proclaimed elite kids need to chill. Your kid made the team as a younger. Let them shine right aged.[/quote]

I agree.  There is a lot to be said for a kid to play with the kids they will be graduating high school with in the same year. The kids, and parents, should look at it as an opportunity to show how "special" they are indeed. [/quote]

The best players are more than capable of playing in older age teams. In fact many stand out already on these teams. These players recruitment is pretty secure already so they're looking to develop even more against older, stronger, faster players. Simply playing on grade is irrelevant. [/quote]
