Anyone who tried out at NVA's indoor sessions last weekend seen any details about the next session?
2013s and 12s got their offers same night or after. Some current players did not- that forced them to start looking elsewhere. Not sure what the second session will useful for. It is all calculated before the futsal tryouts
It wasn't a futsal tryout, it was just an indoor session. NVA/Loudoun fields were clear, but outside was 12 degrees and 35 mph winds. I would say yeah just like any club, you kind of know what internal kids you want to offer since you've been watching them all year long. There's no club out there that has an ID session where 18 kids show up that are all better than the kids you already in the team. It's not super weird if the top 1/3 or top 1/2 of the team get an offer either before, during, or immediately after an ID session.
It was a futsal session. How about the futsal ball? Let’s be honest. It was an excuse to roll out the offers quickly.
Yes they played "futsal" but they weren't using "futsal" as part of the evaluation process per se. It was an alternative to what was originally planned for that night which was an standard outdoor session. Obviously no one was going to hold a session outside in 12 degrees and 35 mph wind gusts. Most clubs didn't even have their fields cleared. NVA/Loudoun has tons of access to field space and decided to move forward with their initial ID session, sorry your child did not get an offer. If your child wasn't trying out, then what are you so concerned about it for?!? Literally everyone is doing ID sessions right now and extending offers.
Your club, your way of doing tryouts and Picking your players anyway and we respect the process. But keep doing what you’re doing. The results speak for themselves. You better run more sessions and get as many rostered as you can because by summer, everyone will be gone. You heard it here first.
