I understand that it is disappointing, but how is it unfair?  They are in different districts, thus they can do things differently. Why should each district get to do things differently? That’s not the way districts was originally formatted.

Yes - they are being compared to other swimmers in their district for places and advancement to regionals based on place. However, they are also being compared against other swimmers in their region for regionals - eg seeding at the next meet.

Those with prelim/finals are also getting two shots at making cut times, including state cut times.

- signed a parent who’s swimmer is .06 off from a state cut time right now. An extra swim would certainly help.
