Way over budget but I like this! https://ullajohnson.com/collections/dresses-7cf056/products/tida-silk-v-neck-short-sleeve-midi-dress-obsidian?nosto_source=cmp&nosto=1451477888
Again, a nice dress from a woman’s perspective, but no man will look at a woman in this and think twice about her.
See, to me these are the goals. -modest but not prim -flattering but not revealing (she wants to look great but like she has the new guy in the bag, not trying to hard/ desperate) -comfortable!!!!! The absolute best thing that can happen is that she actually has a good time and radiates positive energy. That will rivet the ex more than any dress.
lol. Yes, this list is exactly what will make your ex look twice. Modest, not revealing and comfortable. Good luck with men, PP.
The battle is between catching men's eyes and the women thinking you look tacky, or catching women's eyes and the men not even seeing you. I was talking with a friend about how envious I am of a stylish acquaintance and my husband was like "that lady in the baggy pants? You always look hotter than her"
There are definitely dresses that do both. I posted that I liked the black lace with a low back above — classy but men think lace is sexy and a low back is hot. That dress also showed leg — add sheer black hose and a heel and men really like that. I also liked the satiny one shoulder number — very slinky and men do like that exposure shoulder look, although I think in a more eye catching color it would catch their eye more. Men do really like a bright color — whenever I wear red or a bright jewel tone, men always seem to notice. I agree with PP that the dotted loose dress above is very fashionable but not the kind of thing that would catch the eye of most straight men. But I think you can find dresses that will catch their eye without looking liek a try-hard Lauren Sanchez. This is out of price range and very black tie but if she has a nice rack this could look great: https://macduggal.com/products/26285_peacock?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=19488640716&nbt=nb%3Aadwords%3Ax%3A19488640716%3A%3A&nb_adtype=pla&nb_kwd=&nb_ti=&nb_mi=436301499&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=44360860270771&nb_ppi=&nb_placement=&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22618709494&gbraid=0AAAAABa3CkOoZY-T_opTDGhsbs1-_MGuL&gclid=CjwKCAiAt8bIBhBpEiwAzH1w6Z61dv0Cj_xdIa1mMg98vsOW2W3ctaTFOXE0FNebFg5Rkx6_5O6TOxoCj0QQAvD_BwE Or this: https://www.thereformation.com/products/oceane-satin-dress/1318895MER.html?fbvar=nonbrandedgoogle&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22365519313&gbraid=0AAAAADmLagVnLvlI70k4Wzgf5yQ_IOowo&gclid=CjwKCAiAt8bIBhBpEiwAzH1w6Z4HfxXPObXOxnh1E8TyWcUIgsdmxr_Ac0w6orZbNoB0xXFRCAtfahoCKtcQAvD_BwE Or this would be great on an hourglass figure: https://www.renttherunway.com/shop/designers/lidee/deep_azure_gala_gown?lens=classic&utm_content=184140567107&nbt=nb%3Aadwords%3Ag%3A22684066751%3A184140567107%3A758865285260&nb_adtype=pla&nb_kwd=&nb_ti=pla-293946777986&nb_mi=10471133&nb_pc=online&nb_pi=LDE28_10&nb_ppi=293946777986&nb_placement=&nb_si=%7Bsourceid%7D&nb_li_ms=&nb_lp_ms=&nb_fii=&nb_ap=&nb_mt=&utm_campaign=22684066751&utm_source=google&sem_cid=22684066751&sem_gid=184140567107&pxid=pla-293946777986&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term=&sem_type=&em_stream=&r_ty=&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22684066751&gbraid=0AAAAAD0NsUkZpjjPJAZqBzHY5f9x0tHy4&gclid=CjwKCAiAt8bIBhBpEiwAzH1w6VzEJyyrvHHRioYpFsAqzAFv68cUs2Ir6TRCYdBpHNIk_edTT2lnbBoC6lwQAvD_BwE
