When will people wake up and realize this whole process is a sham. Reid and the school board don’t care about parent or community input. This is all for show and the incompetent contractor was hired to provide political cover.
This is clear when every meeting with our SB member was met with whataboutism and telling us we were wrong. I encouraged them to drive our neighborhoods and understand continuity of community + commute differences.
Does a high school define a community? What about families that send their kids to private schools? What about empty nesters? What couples without kids? I believe geography defines a community. People who live in close proximity, have more shared experiences and needs. That is my opinion. Do not worry though. I am not involved in any BRAC meetings or political organizations. I’m just a Fairfax resident with a kid in public high school that is close to my house, and see how that benefits my child.
+1 And, guess what, you even see empty nesters at games.
