Possibly as many as 5 Russian military air bases hit, one all the way in Irkutsk, 4500 km from the Ukrainian border. Potentially 40 plus Russian strategic bombers, AWACs and other major assets hit, which is a substantial percentage of their total complement, and Russia may not have the ability to build more - and even if they did it would take years. I'm also seeing a report that a Russian nuclear sub base blew up. Now we will see what happens next - whether Russia finally decides to wise up and cut its losses, or doubles down and does something stupid like going nuclear. A major escalation on the part of Russia would be unwise now, given a big part of its deterrence and strategic capability was just taken off the table. [/quote]
