They never showed his face at the beginning, and I didn’t pick up on the voice bc I didn’t know Jeff Goldblum was playing the Wiz until he showed up. I only figured it out based on his tap dance song and demeanor towards E[/quote] I didn’t know he was playing the Wiz either. But it was clear that whomever was visiting the mother (right after the husband left) was the father of Elphaba. Then when the wizard appeared at the end and you heard the same voice it was obvious.[/quote]
