Based on our experience and what we've heard from other families who got into SJC is that the school puts far more emphasis on the essays and recs than HSPT scores. This is not to say you shouldn't prep for the test, but if you only have the bandwidth to focus hard on one aspect of the application, make it the essay and recs.[/quote]
