Gee I remember Republicans being all in favor of "faith based" initiatives, now they hate them, it's all evil woke liberal crap?

President George W. Bush established the White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives in 2001. This office aimed to ensure that faith-based organizations could compete for federal funding on an equal footing with secular organizations. The initiative was part of Bush's broader effort to involve religious groups in providing social services, and that is the program that the Lutherans have been working with all these years.
