But they have been winning under that system so the school won't question it. Similarly, GDS and Bullis have made a pretty rapid rise toward the top of the ISL based on being able to attract higher caliber players. For years it was SJC and Flint Hill that attracted the best players but that seems to have shifted. To be clear, I'm not accusing any team of breaking any recruiting rules, but far too many high level players are choosing certain private schools for it to be a coincidence.

The funniest part is that HS volleyball is almost meaningless in terms of player development and college recruiting. Sure it's fun to win lots of matches and play in front of a home crowd, but the level of volleyball played at even the top local high schools is far below high level club volleyball (although the Flint Hill team from a few years ago was pretty incredible).
