There are a lot of travel tournaments. A lot of teams go out for team dinners together. Sometimes coaches come. Sometimes they don’t.

I am not sure what you mean by parents paid hundreds?

With the coaches we have had, this has absolutely nothing to do with play time. It’s just a nice social activity.

I would say that your daughter probably wants to join the team dinners. It builds bonds and they typically play better as a team if they spend time together getting to know each other.

It is also nice as a parent to join in and it makes for a better travel ball experience.

But no one is going to bat an eye if you don’t make a team dinner.  You will probably feel a bit disconnected from the group if you miss all the team dinners.
