Both can be true. Biden’s policies can be accurately described as open border while he also simultaneously expels record number of migrants (because record numbers are coming due to those policies).

Sometimes I wish I could be as simple-minded as you and the other PPs who believe that the Democrats are always on the side of truth and science and right. It would certainly be easier to go through life believing anything my side said was unquestionably always true and right, just because they said it. Never having to entertain a critical thought, never questioning leaders, just always trusting: it is appealing in a way. I’m a little jealous of the simplicity that must bring to your life.

Please read my last post again and explain where I said dems are always on the side of truth. Fwiw, I agree that [b]closing schools in Fall 2020 was not supported by the science[/b] we had at the time, not just in hindsight. But the teachers' union resisted in our county. Look through old threads on dcum, and you'll see the arguments.

It's unfortunate that schools were closed but the claim that closing schools was unsupported by science isn't entirely correct.  COVID contact tracing data showed that schools were in fact one of the top places for transmission.[/quote]
I specifically mean elementary schools. Everything we did to fight covid was a tradeoff under uncertainty. We knew young children were at risk under isolation, and they were less likely to spread covid to adults. I really don't want to relitigate that, but it wasn't the tradeoff I supported. Many liberal parents felt the same.
