My family recently went to Disney for the first time. We had DAS because of my son’s autism and also Genie+ because we we only there one day and anticipated that he might not make it the whole day and that the other kids would want to go on rides after he left early with one parent. The different between DAS and G was stark. With DAS, the standby time was literally the standby time of the ride at any given moment (around 35-115 minutes). Quested with G, the return times were often hours away. Plus you could book a return time with DAS before even getting on the ride, meaning that your next wait would be way shorter than it would be with G. We never waited more than 10 minutes for a ride with both passes. I was almost too much and my kids melted down before noon with all the stimulation (disability or not). All this is just to say, I think DAS is wonderful but I agree with some of the changes, like requiring a 10 min wait time after checking in to a ride before booking another one. Plus, it seems unfair that people paying for Genie have such a long wait to get a return time while DAS pass people do not and can essentially use their LL time and time on the ride to use up their return time. Just my 2 cents.
