I read his website. I think I understand what he's saying and wouldn't disagree; but the way it's stated on his website is pretty bad. One is far less likely to encounter hate, suspicion, and bullying (and therefore safety concerns) when one is just like everyone else in a homogenous environment v. an environment with different groups (kids of different backgrounds) who don't know each other, don't understand their differences, etc.  But he also acknowledges that diversity can be beneficial - and I agree. Nope. Many schools in APS, if not the whole district, are majority-minority. He doesn't sound like someone who understands and is prepared to be at the helm of a diverse district at all.
